Jonathan Pyndus has been involved in the martial arts since 2001 when his parents gifted him with taekwondo lessons due to his growing obsession with Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee movies. He became an assistant instructor in 2004, and at his teacher’s encouragement began to cross train in other martial arts, starting with Judo. In 2006 he joined the Bujinkan Dojo of Soke Masaaki Hatsumi and earned his instructor status in 2011. One of his Sensei encouraged him to study internal Chinese martial arts and Indonesian arts, which eventually led to him meeting and becoming a student of Kang Kai Lewis. Outside of martial arts, Jonathan is interested in the healing arts. He works as a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, being a licensed acupuncturist, as well as a licensed massage therapist. He is still obsessed with Kung Fu movies.
